Rick earned his license in 1968 and built several Heathkit HF rigs near Chicago. He re-licensed in 2020 to join ACS for emergencies in San Francisco. Rick loves low-power CW HF operation for Summits-on-the-Air (SOTA) and Parks-on-the-Air (POTA) while backpacking in the mountains. After a management career in the scientific, semiconductor and financial industries, he enjoys playing contemporary and classical guitar and the great game of golf.
